Fishpond in winter

: I installed a small fishpond (with 2 fish and a few plants) in the backyard of my house in Ottawa, Canada.
How do I have to prepare the pond and the fish for winter?
Can the fish survive under the ice?
The pond is 1 meter deep by 1.8x1.2m (LxW).
